Our Commitment Website Accessibility Product Accessibility Principles Feedback & Contact Ongoing Efforts

Our Commitment

Accessibility is not a feature of EchoSight AI — it is the entire reason the project exists. That commitment extends to how we build this website and how we design the product itself, from day one of development.

Website Accessibility

We aim for this website to be usable with screen readers and keyboard navigation, and to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as a working target. This includes visible keyboard focus states, sufficient color contrast, and descriptive link and control labeling. As a pre-launch site, we are actively testing and improving this, and welcome reports of anything that doesn't work as expected.

Product Accessibility Principles

EchoSight AI's hardware and software are designed around a small set of principles:

  • Audio-first interaction — every core function is designed to be used and understood without relying on a screen.
  • Minimal, prioritized guidance — the device speaks only what's relevant, to avoid overwhelming the user with noise.
  • Input from the community — orientation and mobility trainers and blind and low-vision testers are involved throughout development, not only at the end.
  • Affordability — accessibility technology should not be priced out of reach; we design around affordable, widely available hardware.

Feedback & Contact

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, or have feedback on the accessibility of the EchoSight AI device itself, we want to hear from you directly.

Ongoing Efforts

Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time checklist. As EchoSight AI moves from pilot testing toward general availability, we will continue auditing both the website and the product against accessibility standards and real user feedback.
