Building independence, one accessible design decision at a time

Our Mission
Celestara LLC builds EchoSight AI, a wearable AI assistant that helps blind and low-vision people understand and move through their surroundings safely and independently. Our mission is simple: give people a more accurate, real-time read on the world around them, without the cost of specialized hardware that puts assistive technology out of reach for most people.
Why We Started
Existing assistive navigation devices are often expensive, bulky, or built on closed hardware that's difficult to repair or improve. We saw an opportunity to combine affordable, widely available components — a Raspberry Pi and the Raspberry Pi AI Camera — with modern on-device AI to build something genuinely useful, genuinely portable, and genuinely within reach.
Our Approach
We're building EchoSight AI in the open, in close collaboration with the community it's meant to serve. That means:
- Testing early and often with blind and low-vision pilot users, not just at the end of development
- Working alongside orientation and mobility (O&M) professionals to make sure guidance is genuinely useful in real environments
- Keeping camera data processing on-device by default, so privacy isn't an afterthought
- Designing for affordability from the first hardware decision, not as a discount added later
Team & Partners
EchoSight AI is developed by Celestara LLC. We're actively growing our pilot-testing community and looking for orientation and mobility organizations, clinics, and schools interested in partnering with us as the project moves toward wider availability.
